Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Addressing The Elephant In The Room

No one is coming to save you because you have never met Christ.

Christ is willing to save you. Continually.

✔️ Christ's default mode is to save.

❌ Your default mode is to worry.

A modern shepherd in Israel won't leave 99 sheep to go and search for the one that was lost.

‣ They will count the loss as a failure.
‣ Learn from the loss.
‣ And move on.

Christ's strategy is different from our strategy.

His thinking is higher than our thinking.

He uses all of heaven's resources to look for the one lost sheep (Luke 19:10).

Does Christ save everybody?

No!

So, how do you qualify for His saving power?

Simple… accept that you are helpless.

✔️ Christ helps the helpless.

❌ Not those who help themselves.

If the people in your circle still insist that God helps those who help themselves…

Cut them off! And love them from a distance.

It will be hard to shift your paradigm with a quote from Benjamin Franklin (God helps those who help themselves).

You know… even if the church is one body with Christ as the head, the nose still does not fellowship with the armpit.

So, here is a list of friends you need to love from a distance:

🟥 Those who keep insisting, “No one is coming to save you.”

🟥 Those who proclaim that God helps those who help themselves.

Growth happens when you stop hanging out with people that hinder your paradigm shift.

Hey! It is not a must to change your paradigm.

You can keep believing that no one is coming to save you.

You can also start helping yourself first before seeking God's help.

God gave you the power to choose what action to take.

When you help and save yourself, I see:

1️⃣ A recipe for perpetual burnout.

2️⃣ A poor 'top 1%' with lots of money.

3️⃣ A rigid 'willpower freak' with no alternative.

4️⃣ A work ethic guru who is addicted to hard work.

5️⃣ An ignorant scholar who thinks they know the nature of Christ.

6️⃣ A 'have you seen my net worth' enthusiast who believes they are aligned with their purpose.

There is a Savior who is closer than your brother (Proverbs 18:24).

And you have a living Helper who will not judge your past (Hebrews 10:10-17).

Hey!

Normalize leaning on Christ.

P.S. Are you willing to constantly mutter John 3:17?
