Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Patience's Reward

A whisper lingers through the air,
A promise glows, beyond compare,
That somewhere, through life’s ebb and flow,
She seeks the one her heart will know.

With every face, each passing soul,
She searches deep to find the whole,
A kindred heart, a destined flame,
A love that answers to her name.

Through winding paths, through trials long,
Her spirit stays steadfast and strong,
Though waiting stretches far and wide,
Her love will heal, stand by my side.

No mask will shield, no wall deny,
The pull of fate, her watchful eye,
She walks the steps that lead her near,
Her heart attuned to what is clear.

And when she comes, her light will show,
A warmth I’ve yearned but didn’t know,
Her hands will cradle all I’ve been,
Her love, the balm to scars unseen.

So I will trust through fleeting days,
Her steady search, her loving gaze.
She’s moving closer, soon to be—
The woman sent to treasure me.
