Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Let Go of Judgment

Why hold the weight of judgment tight,
When grace flows endless, pure, and bright?
The heavens know what hearts conceal,
A mercy vast, a love that heals.

Her path is hers, her steps her own,
Through trials faced, through seeds she's sown.
And though you see with earthly eyes,
God views her soul where truth resides.

What gain in pointing, casting blame,
When time moves on, and hearts the same?
It’s not for us to chart her skies,
Nor question how her spirit flies.

Forgiveness frees the bitter hold,
Its warmth more precious than the gold.
Release the chains, let peace abide,
And trust the One who reigns inside.

For every soul must walk its way,
And face the light of judgment day.
So let love lead, and mercy flow—
A better path than stones to throw.
