Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Prayer changes things.

The most powerful prayers are short.

Succinct.

Jabez's prayer was short. Succinct (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).

Pay attention to Christ as He is raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:41-42).

His prayer was short. Succinct.

Are you conscious that you 'cannot,' but God 'can?'

It is your consciousness that matters (Mark 10:27). And not the length of your prayer.

When you are conscious that 'He can,' then His strength and wisdom flow through you (Romans 11:6).

Because you are the vine branch, and He is the vine.

Without Him, you can do nothing (John 15:5).

🧠 Help Yourself

The famous declaration 'God helps those who help themselves' is not from the Holy Bible.

It is a quote from Benjamin Franklin.

Here is a paradigm shift: God helps the helpless (Isaiah 41:10).

A powerful prayer is when you are conscious that you 'cannot,' but He 'can' (Jeremiah 32:27).

I know you act strong in public. You trust the process, which is your willpower.

You do not want the world to mock you for acknowledging that Christ's power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9–10).

Masculinity gurus keep telling you, “You are a man. Never show weakness.”

Pew pew.

Your strength is found in your weakness.

Not from your willpower.

And definitely not from you being resilient.

Normalize leaning on Christ (Psalm 118:14).
