Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Broken Bonds

Numbers they shine, like stars in the night,
But beneath the glow, something isn’t right.
Their words cut deep, their presence brings gloom,
A shadow falls heavy, darkening the room.

They rise on the backs of those they suppress,
Spreading seeds of fear, leaving others in stress.
Success on paper, but what is the cost?
A team divided, its spirit lost.

While others toil with a heart full of dread,
They wonder who's next to be left in the red.
No progress made in a war of distrust,
The weight of the toxic, a burden unjust.

For numbers can’t measure the damage inside,
The broken bonds, the tears that are cried.
A team can't thrive where negativity’s sown,
No growth can flourish when morale is overthrown.

So let go of those who poison the air,
No matter the stats, it’s only fair.
For what’s truly great is a team that can rise,
Together as one, under clear, open skies.
