Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Bitter Sweet

There’s a weight I bear, too heavy to hold,
A love that was broken, a story untold.
The pieces of trust lie scattered and worn,
And I’m left to carry this heart, torn.

She slipped through my fingers, time after time,
A betrayal that echoed like a silent crime.
Five scars she carved deep into my soul,
But still, I forgive—though never whole.

I can’t make her choose, can’t bend her will,
But the ache of her absence lingers still.
She walked with others, left me behind,
And I, with forgiveness, try to be kind.

Though we are one, bound by the divine,
Her path and mine cannot intertwine.
For even in grace, there’s distance to keep—
The nose and the armpit must never meet.

And so, I lose her to choices she made,
To men who linger in the shadows of shade.
But I’ll carry this cross, heavy as stone,
Hurting, yet knowing I’m not alone.
