Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Beyond the Flaws

Deep in the soul, where shadows fray,
We talk of goodness lost in people’s sway,
Where mistakes cast longer shadows than the light,
And deeds of kindness fade from sight.

We try to shape the world with open hands,
To build with hope upon uncertain sands,
Yet find ourselves remembered for our flaws,
While the virtues fade behind the cause.

Forgiveness is a path we tread with care,
A quest for peace amid the silent glare,
And in the weight of every past betrayal,
We seek the strength to heal, though dreams may flail.

The hurt remains, a burden hard to bear,
Grieving futures that were never there,
Yet in the journey through the pain and sorrow,
Each step we take can lead to brighter tomorrows.

It’s okay to feel the ache and not yet know,
How healing comes or where the winds will blow,
For every tear and every fleeting breath,
Is a sign of life, not shadowed death.

So hold the goodness you have tried to share,
And know your worth is not in others' care,
For every trial faced, and every tear you mend,
Is a step toward the peace you seek to blend.
