Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

A Lesson in Letting Go

Shadows linger where trust was laid,
A heart once full, now slowly frayed,
Promises broken, left to scatter,
A love so strong, now frail matter.

She was my world, my brightest star,
But chose a path that wandered far,
Found solace in another's arms,
Leaving me with silent scars.

They say the blame should fall on me,
For failing to lead, to help her see,
Yet love is more than just one hand,
It’s a dance where both must stand.

I carry the weight, the blame, the pain,
But deep down, I know it’s not in vain,
Her choice, her loss, her road to take,
From this, I rise, though still I ache.

No longer hers, no longer chained,
In solitude, strength is regained,
A lesson learned, a chapter closed,
From these ruins, a man has grown.

Let the world judge, let them blame,
I’ll stand firm, free from shame,
For though I walk this path alone,
My heart, through fire, has fully grown.
