Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

The Path Is Long

The resume, a fortress built on sand,
Each click "submit" a wave that washes land.
The inbox bare, a silence vast and deep,
Fourteen long years, no offers come to keep.

The map unfurls, a world of distant dreams,
But pockets light, it's just an empty scheme.
To chase a chance in pastures fresh and green,
Requires coin, a treasure yet unseen.

Despair may whisper, "This is all you'll find,"
But hope, an ember, flickers in the mind.
A LinkedIn profile, brushed and made anew,
Keywords sharp, to pierce the digital hue.

Networks woven, threads of trust and care,
Reaching out, a burden others share.
Temp work accepted, stepping stones to climb,
Each skill a weapon, honed against time.

The map unfolds, a whisper in the breeze,
A city beckons, with lower living fees.
Roommates sought, a shared and friendly space,
A frugal move, to find a better place.

The path is long, the climb may seem so steep,
But steady steps, a promise you can keep.
For every doubt, a seed of strength you sow,
This journey's yours, watch the new future grow.
