Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

It Shall Be Well

Fondo, head hung low, a storm in his eyes,
Shoulders slumped, a weight that wouldn't rise.
Masaki, with eyes that held both strength and grace,
Sat beside him, a hand upon his face.

"Everybody gotta cry once in a while," she said,
Her voice a gentle stream, in his sorrow well-bred.
"Tears are a cleansing, a letting go of pain,
A storm that clears the skies, brings sunshine back again."

Fondo sniffed, a tear escaped and traced a line,
"But the rain keeps falling, Masaki, feels like a lifetime."

A smile, a flicker, on Masaki's lips so wise,
"Then let it pour, Fondo, let the storm cleanse your skies.
But remember, even after the darkest night,
The sun will rise again, bringing warmth and light."

She squeezed his hand, a silent, steady beat,
"How long to smile? Let time heal, make it complete.
The sun will find you, even though clouds may roam,
There's strength within you, Fondo, waiting to call you home."

A flicker in Fondo's eyes, a spark so small,
"Maybe the sun will peek through, after all."

Masaki nodded, a knowing in her gaze,
"Everybody cries, Fondo, but smiles light up the days."
