Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Ndeda

In a world of shifting sands, stood Ndeda bold,
With convictions firm, his story yet untold.
He echoed through the streets, his voice ringing clear,
"If you accept everything, what do you hold dear?"

With each step he took, his resolve grew strong,
For in his heart, he knew right from wrong.
To compromise was not in his creed,
For in unwavering truth, he found his need.

Through trials and tribulations, he stood his ground,
A beacon of defiance, in a world profound.
For to stand for something, meant to draw the line,
In the face of conformity, he chose to shine.

Though some may scoff, and others may deride,
Ndeda stayed true, never swayed by the tide.
For in his steadfastness, a lesson was learned,
That to accept everything, one's soul may be adjourned.

So let us heed the words of Ndeda's call,
To stand firm in our beliefs, lest we fall.
For in the tapestry of life, let it be said,
That we stood for something, until our souls have fled.
