Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Mugendi

In Markiti's bustling streets, Mugendi stands tall,
A man of principle, heeding justice's call.
With firm resolve, he faces a corrupt gaze,
As he confronts the officer in the traffic haze.

"My friend's scooter, unlawfully seized,
By your hand, unjustly squeezed.
I was raised to stand for those I hold dear,
To fight against injustice, to make it clear."

With steely eyes, Mugendi stands his ground,
Against corruption's grip, he will not be bound.
For his friend's sake, he'll challenge the wrong,
And in the face of tyranny, he'll remain strong.

The officer squirms, caught in the glare,
Of Mugendi's unwavering stare.
For justice, he fights, undeterred by fear,
His convictions unwavering, his conscience clear.

Though the road may be rough, and the journey long,
Mugendi persists, his spirit strong.
For he knows that to stand for what is right,
Is to shine a beacon in the darkest night.

So, to the corrupt officer, Mugendi implores,
Release the scooter, let justice restore.
For he was raised to stand for those he cares for,
And in that truth, he'll endure evermore.
