Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Kebeya

In the quiet of dusk, by the river's serene flow,
Stood Kebeya, a man with wisdom to bestow.
Observing life's ebb and flow, he mused with care,
About the burdens we all sometimes bear.

"People," he sighed, "are not always prepared
To see the depths of the burdens we've dared.
If understanding eludes them, don't force the sight,
For empathy blooms in its own time, in its own light."

With a patient heart and a steady gaze,
Kebeya learned to navigate life's maze.
He carried his burdens with silent grace,
Knowing that understanding would find its place.

Forcing hearts closed only breeds strife,
So he embraced the rhythm of his own life.
With acceptance as his guiding star,
He found peace in being just as he are.

Oh, let us learn from Kebeya's sage decree,
To let understanding unfold naturally.
For in the stillness of patience's embrace,
We find solace and grace in life's unfolding grace.
