Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Alukonya

In the shadowed night, Alukonya stood,
His heart weighed heavy, his thoughts a flood.
Guilt, a relentless thief, consumed his soul,
As he wandered, lost, toward a distant goal.

Through tangled woods and moonlit haze,
He sought redemption in the silent maze.
But guilt, like a specter, clung to his side,
A haunting reminder of secrets denied.

With each step forward, he felt the weight,
Of every mistake, every misguided trait.
But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light,
A whisper of truth, piercing the night.

"Guilt will rob you of your peace of mind,"
Echoed the voice, gentle and kind.
Alukonya paused, his heart atremble,
As the truth within began to assemble.

In that moment of clarity, he saw,
The shackles of guilt, the weight of its law.
He let it go, released its hold,
And felt a peace he had long been told.

For in that epiphany, he found his way,
No longer burdened by yesterday's fray.
With each breath, he embraced the new dawn,
Knowing that guilt's grip was forever withdrawn.
