Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Kikuvi

In a world where pride did reign,
Kikuvi stood, a man of gain,
But blind to the truth, he forged ahead,
Disrespecting others, his path he tread.

With arrogance as his guiding light,
He stepped on hearts with all his might,
Doors once open, now slammed tight,
As he walked in darkness, devoid of sight.

But lessons harsh soon came to bear,
As he realized with despair,
That apologies, though sincere and true,
Cannot undo what disrespect can do.

Regret now heavy upon his chest,
He sought forgiveness, but found no rest,
For doors once open, now forever closed,
In the cold reality, he sadly supposed.

A humbled man, he learned too late,
That respect is a virtue, not up for debate,
For in the end, it's not wealth or fame,
But kindness and respect that leave a lasting flame.
