Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Love is Not Enough

In the quiet of our nights, we once spoke,
With whispers carried by a tender love's yoke.
Two souls entwined, our hearts beat as one,
But now the melody fades, the symphony undone.

From the warmth of those late-hour calls at two,
To the frost that now veils our love, icy and blue.
Betrayed by silence, a void now holds sway,
The words unspoken, the distance in the way.

We danced through life's trials, hand in hand we strode,
But in the shadows, a deceitful tale unfolded.
Between us now stands an unspoken truth,
You found solace elsewhere, in the arms of another's youth.

The clock ticks, but our time feels as if it's stilled,
Memories flicker, the heartache left unfulfilled.
We journeyed from the depths of shared elation,
To the bitter end, of zero communication.
