Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

Japalaa

In shadows of his heart, Japalaa did dwell,
A tale of love, a story he would tell.
He found a love as bright as morning's ray,
But soon would learn it could not always stay.

Their hearts entwined, a passionate embrace,
Yet time and circumstance would mar their grace.
He pondered deeply, on a starry night,
If love's sweet bond was worth the painful fight.

He realized, as tears streamed down his face,
That love and loss can leave an empty space.
The ache of parting, the bitter tears shed,
He wished he'd never ventured down love's thread.

For in that moment, the truth became clear,
It's better not to love than live in fear.
To taste the sweetest fruit, then watch it fade,
Can be a cruel and heartrending charade.

So Japalaa, with heavy heart, did see,
That love's sweet agony was not to be.
In solitude, he found a somber peace,
A bittersweet release, a love's decease.
