Heart of Stone

He built his dreams with fire and steel,   Through sweat and pain, through grit and will.   His path was carved with silent nights,   A war he waged beyond the sights.   But love, so sweet, so soft, so near,   Whispered dreams into his ear.   A choice was placed upon his chest—   His passion’s flame, or love’s request.   He turned away from burning light,   Held her close, embraced the night.   Yet soon he found, to his dismay,   Both love and purpose slipped away.   For goals demand a heart of stone,   And love still longs to call its own.   To chase one means to lose the fight,   To hold both tight is rarest might.   So walk the road with eyes aware,   Choose with wisdom, choose with care.   For once you drop what makes you whole,   You lose the fire—and lose your soul.

The Road to Change

In a world of dreams, where hope did gleam,
Lived a lady named Mueni, in a tranquil stream.
She believed in the power of love's embrace,
Thinking she could alter hearts, in any place.

With kindness in her heart and dreams in her eyes,
She sought to change a soul, to make them rise.
But she learned a truth that cut her deep,
You can't change someone who won't take the leap.

Mueni, with patience, tried time and again,
To mend a broken spirit, to heal the pain.
But the one she cared for, lost in their way,
Resisted transformation, they chose to stay.

In the mirror of life, she saw her reflection,
Realizing the limits of her affection.
A lesson profound, a truth she'd gleaned,
You can't change someone who hasn't dreamed.

For change must start from deep within,
A willingness to grow, to shed old skin.
Mueni, with wisdom, learned through tears,
That true transformation comes from within, not fears.

She let go of the burden, released the hold,
Understanding that stories cannot be retold.
With newfound grace, she found her peace,
Accepting the truth, and pain's release.

In the journey of life, a valuable gain,
Mueni discovered that to change, we must claim.
Our own path to growth, our hearts' true quest,
For we can't change others, only ourselves, at best.
